Driving new customers to a website that isn’t mobile or user friendly could have a negative impact on your business. If you don’t have a mobile optimised website our advice would be to get one. In 2015 for the first time there will be more searches from mobile devices than desktop devices. But, if you don’t wish to invest in a mobile optimised website that’s ok too. We would simply recommend only showing your adverts to desktop devices, but this would lower the amount of searches you would appear for by nearly 50%, so you would be closing the door on lots of potential opportunities.

What should I watch out for?

Be very wary of pay per click advertising companies that say they will ‘definitely get you on page 1 of Google for a full month’ & even ’guarantee you position 1 every time somebody searches’. There can never be those kinds of guarantees. For a start Google will never show an advert for 100% of searches, even if their is enough money in your budget to do so. The most successful campaigns will show for about 90% of the searches. Another reason is search trends are on the up. All anybody knows is that more people will search this year than searched last year, meaning it’s impossible to know exactly how many people are going to be searching in any given month. If you here any promises or guarantees then you will be better to choose a different company to manage your businesses pay per click advertising.
